Important Notice

Dear Friends,

Every once in a while there is a perfect storm of circumstances that require small business owners to make sudden changes in their operations. This is the nature of being in business. It’s certainly not the best part about it, but we learn to take these things in stride.

A few months ago one of our team members hurt herself in an off-job accident and is unable to return to work during this busy time.

Today, we learned that an incoming team member - a college student who we hired to replace aforementioned team member during this busy season - has tested positive for COVID-19. 

Today we also learned that another team member has come into close contact with a COVID-19 positive person. Per Maine CDC recommendations for their particular situation, they will quarantine for 10 days.

Given these factors, starting tomorrow, Thursday 12/9, we will close our retail store located at 869 Main St. in Westbrook until further notice. Additionally, we will no longer take any orders at all until further notice.

The foundation of our business is built on the commitment to our customers to provide fresh, delicious, and exquisitely presented chocolates. We’ve made the very difficult decision to shut down our retail operations temporarily so that we are able to meet this commitment to our customers who have already placed orders. 

Please remember our retail partners at this time. There are many locations through-out Maine and New England that sell our chocolates! We are working hard to compile a current list of these retailers and I will post it on the website and on our social media outlets ASAP. 

And again, thank you thank you thank you for your continued support, feedback, and understanding. We look forward to serving you again soon.

    So sorry for these challenges. Had my first Ragged Coast Chocolate yesterday. Excellent. I will be happy to support any retailer carrying your chocolates. Hope to see you up and operational soon!

    So sorry to hear about the hard times you are all going thru. Covid-19 has def proved to be a plan ruin(er) in so many ways.
    I had placed an order on 11/29 and am planning on taking the chocolates out of state on 12/15 to give as gifts to family. Is this a doable time line?
    Again you are all in our thoughts and prayers during this hard time.
